I just had a shangri la moment!!!! It was not in the slot on the right, it was getting to the slot on left side (if there is such a thing). I have been trying to get rid of this block/block slice with my driver for a couple of years. It developed when I stopped coming over the top and was swinging a good deal from the inside. I have been so…

  • Hello Hoganauts,
I have been working on laying the club off. I just can’t seem to get a feel for it. As I was practicing, I seemed to develop the feeling that laying off the club trigger the downswing for me, not the lower body. It felt to me that I got to the top, layed off the club then my legs and hips fired.

    Any thoughts on this?

  • @Slot, 170 with a 9 iron!! You da man!

  • So I am hitting everything straighter and longer after working on the push/pull and hogan roll. I almost don’t believe it. I keep thinking the last shot was just an accident, but it’s not!!!!

I guess I just need to accept that I am making better contact and it is indeed repeatable. 🙂

  • Thanks Christo. I am also finding that I have to weaken my grip and open my club face. I used to have a strong grip and a closed face to keep from hitting push fades. This stuff is awesome!!

  • Check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z10AiDpgRg at time 03:15 (Christos is practicing the Hogan Roll) and at the very beginning of the video 00:00-00:34 (Rod Pampling example). I would say it happens right as the club is parallel to the ground on the downswing. I could be wrong, I am just learning this myself!!!

  • For me the feeling is more like you push hard and fast with the right hand. Like when you are pushing a lever. The left hand cant help but resist the right hand. If the left did not resist, club would flip (you don’t want that). So I don’t think it is like a whip or a snap. When you get it right the ball compresses like crazy!!!

  • Same Same, I am working on the “Hogan Roll”. It is a game changer. I have been doing 4 sets of 20 “Hogan Roll” exercises daily to ingrain it in my swing. That and the “push-pull” have changed my golf life. In the Hogan Code video, you can find the “Hogan Roll” at times 1:30, 36:04.

So I watched the video and began working on my own swing reboot based solely on the Hogan Code Video and book (and I read the Five Fundamentals). Its been a week and a half and the results are ASTOUNDING! I did not become a scratch golfer in a week, I did not even come close to my lowest score, but I just played the most stress free round of my…[Read more]

Time 1:15:30 of the video has changed my golf life!

  • Thanks Christo. BTW, what FPS do you use?

I know it was 165 because I have a launch monitor. Which is useless if you don’t know what you are trying to accomplish. Much better understanding now.

Watched the video. What a difference. I have always been concerned about my position throughout my swing. What really stood out to me is to concentrate on feel and pressure points instead of position. I tried a few drills concentrating on feel instead of position. Immediate results. Much better ball compression. Hit my 7 iron effortlessly,…[Read more]

    • Glad to hear things are working for you. Christo has done a great job in making the swing easier to understand for sure!

Can I get that email as well. I am having similar issues.

I am having the same issue. It fails on the download every time around 2GB. I am getting anywhere between 600KB to 1.4MB download speeds. This file is way too big to be downloaded without a recovery mechanism. Is there another way to get the video? I do want the video, but if I cant…[Read more]
