  • Started reinventing my swing about six months ago using MSE. Put in about 2 hours a day on the range, every day, and studied Hogan’s and Christo’s swings the rest of the time. I’ve watched and re-watched the Hogan Code and every MSE YouTube video. There may be others who’ve put in more work on inculcating MSE in their swing but I haven’t seen…[Read more]

  • Thanks for the feedback. I tried the chair thing you mentioned. Did you mean I should shrug the left shoulder up? Because if I do, the club goes with it and the only way I can get it back on the ground is to increase my LSB. Does that sound right? Is there a video where you talk about this?

  • My “slide” feels to me more like I’m falling left. I want my COG to get back to the ball before I turn, and as I turn it continues to move farther left. I start to fall before I start to rotate which gets my weight shift going without forcing it. The result is what could be called a slide or a bump.

    That’s a useful description, thanks. It’s bit d…[Read more]

  • Thanks for the feedback. I’m having a super hard time flattening my swing. My club’s steepening even on quarter swings and I just can’t understand why. Unless I stall my hips the club just wants to throw itself to the out. UGGH.

  • I think I found the answer to my own question! I was watching Christo’s Tampa Clinic on Vimeo and in it he talks about the magical 4 inches. He describes how to shift the weight using what he says Lee Trevino called “the slide-turn”. It happens around 17:35 in the video, and it looks a lot like the fourth approach I illustrate in my video.…[Read more]

Thanks for the feedback! I see what you mean about my hand position at impact. I’ve been trying to get the the left knuckles pointing down and left wrist supinated at impact (by doing the Hogan Roll and maintaining wrist angles through impact). That also shallows the downswing, and I wonder if that’s the primary reason my downswing is too steep –…[Read more]

What I know I’m doing wrong:

    – Downswing too steep
    – Spine angle changes slightly during the swing (increases w.r.t the ground)

What I don’t know how to fix:

    – Shallow the swing. Should I:
    — Keep my hands back more (hand path wrong?)
    — Lay off the club at the top
    — Roll my wrists (i.e. suppinate my left wrist while increasing the right…[Read more]

I sold my company last year to take some time off and I’ve been working on my golf swing for the last five months, spending about 10-12 hours a week on the driving range.
